Yes, believe it or not we are still alive!! Mother has been busy, busy, busy but we are still kicking. I am working on getting mother back into updating regularly. I swear to you that I will not quit licking her or peeing in the house until she gets back into a regular blogging schedule!!!!!!! So instead of trying to play catch up all at once, I thought I would start off with pictures of the most adorable princess ever, ME!!!! =)

Trick or Treat!!

Saturday morning, after momma fed me breakfast, she loaded me up in the car and said we were going for a ride.

Now, despite evidence to the contrary:

I am still not the greatest on car trips. I get antsy and restless in my car seat and I really just want to run around and play.

Let's move Lady!!!!

After what seemed like FOREVER in the darn car, we arrived at: GRANDMA'S HOUSE!!!!
Momma said it was Trick or Treat night and we were going to help Grandma hand out candy to the kids. But first, we had to help decorate!! You see, Grandma puts on quite a display at her house. Halloween is her favorite holiday and she wants all the kids to remember her house!

After the house was ready, I had to get ready!!
Momma brought my tutu and was planning to have the rest of my costume done, but forgot to bring everything with her. Silly momma!!

Soon it got dark and all the kids started to arrive!! Momma didn't get pictures of the kids OR the house all lit up. She was to busy trying to keep my bony little pug butt warm on the front porch. This Pocket Pug is not made to "chill" in the 44 degree weather that Mother Nature served up.

As most of you would expect, I was quite vocal with the children. They were walking all through Grandma's yard and taking the bags of candy!! Who did they think they were??? That's my yard AND my candy! The nerve!!!

So in an effort to keep me quiet, momma introduced me to these:

How could I have not been eating these everyday?!?!?

The sweet crunchy candy was just what I required to allow the little trespassers to continue their activities!!

What do you mean they're GONE?!?!?!!?

I'm not hearing you!!!

Finally, it was time to go. Momma loaded me back into the car to head to our second event of the night: The Posse House!! Sadly, momma left her camera in the car so there are no pictures of my adorable sleepiness hanging with The Posse. What was she thinking???
Despite all the little people, Halloween wasn't to bad. I think I may have to give another try next year!! Did any of you get candy on Halloween???

Pay it Forward Friday

UPDATE: It was pointed out to me that I missed the section of The Big Thank You rules that asks we not send cards or photos. They want the letters to be on 8 1/2 x 11 or smaller paper. Momma says she may just have to print our own stationary with me on it!! =) We hope you'll all still take the time to help out!!!

Today, we would like to ask our blogger family to help us make something special happen. It's not animal or rescue related, but momma and I still think it's pretty important.

Against the momma's better judgement, she has started to like the new morning show on one of the local radio stations. She's still a little miffed that they are out of Atlanta, GA, but they make her laugh. So The Bert Show is putting together what they are calling The Big Thank You. Their goal is to collect 400,000 (yes, there is a comma in that number) hand written thank you letters/notes to send to the service men and women that will be stationed outside the US on Thanksgiving. They want to make sure they each have a letter to open on Thanksgiving day since they can not be home with their families. We think that this is a great idea and we need your help!! 400,000 letters is A LOT of letters. We figure if each blogger family gets one package of thank you cards to send, we can help make this happen!! Momma is picking up our thank you cards this weekend so we can get started. She is even thinking of putting a picture of me in each of the cards to give the soldiers a smile!! She asked Aunt Annie to order me a pink camo harness so I can look all official in my cards.

We really hope our blogger family will help. Most of us know someone that is currently serving or has served in the past. Even if you don't, we all know these men and women are giving of themselves for the rest of us and they deserve a thank you!! Just click the picture to go the Bert Show page and get all the details for The Big Thank You!! The cards have to be in Atlanta by midnight on October 28. I know it sounds like a lot, but together, we can help make someone's holiday a little brighter!!!!

Road Trip - Part Two (WARNING - PHOTO HEAVY)

So for what must have been elebenty million gazillion hours we did this!!!!

With couple stops thrown in for everyone to potty, we finally made it to our destination!!

KIKI"S HOUSE!!!!!

Ernie and I were so excited!!!! We couldn't wait to meet everyone!! I'm not sure who was more excited about meeting Aunt Punchy's crew, us or the momma's!!!

After we had dinner and much snarkiness through the kitchen gate, we were allowed to mingle. Now, the momma will tell you I get growly and snarky when other dogs get loud or "overly" excited. Don't listen to her!! She has no idea what she's talking about. However, because of this imagined snarkiness, she kept picking me up and taking me out of the action. What the Hell Woman?!?!?! I have to secure my position in this new pack!!

Momma quickly realized that letting Miss Kiki and I spend to much time together was going to be trouble. But come on y'all!! Us KPR Girls gotta stick together right?!?!

But in an effort to make the momma stop yapping, I made friends with Miss Zoe.

Before we knew it, the momma's were telling us it was time for bed. They kept going on about the "big day" we were going to have. We slept in the purplest room EVER!!!!! It was so girlicious!!!

We got up bright and sort early the next day to get ready for the party.

That's right, a PARTAY!!!!!

Everyone put on their party best for the event. Being the fashionista that I am, I came prepared for the festivities!

I arrived at the party in my BFP dress from AnnieBee and Aunt Nancy.

Once the festivities got under way, I changed into my tutu.

The party was a jungle theme!! So we all got our pics taken with the giant monkey!!

The after party wasn't really a party. We were all pretty pooped from the festivities. The mommas and C munched and talked while we recovered!!

Monday morning we got up early and loaded the car for the return trip. Momma promised there would be plenty of potty stops, but we were still looking at a long day in the car. So Ernie and I settled in for the long and pretty much slept all the way home.

Sorry for such a loooonnnnggggg post, but I told momma we had to finish!! I hope enjoyed coming along for my fist real road trip!! Can't wait to do it again!!!!

Road Trip - Part One

Sorry it's taken me so long to do this post. The momma has been "busy" whatever that means. She really needs to get her priorities in order. Me then everything else!

So, last Friday the momma came home from work and had Aunt Vikki and Ernie with her. Now this was most unusual. Momma doesn't usually bring peoples home from work with her. While I ate my dinner, momma loaded our bags into the car and got me ready to leave.

Before I knew it we were on the road. Now from Indiana to Ohio, I was not a happy pug. See, I'm not of fond of being in the back seat of the car. I've gotten used to the car seat, but being shuttled to the back seat was not on my happy list. Then as if being in the back wasn't bad enough, she stuck me behind Aunt Vikki so I couldn't see out the windshield!! How Rude!!

For most of the next three hours, I voice my displeasure at the seating arrangements. I made sure momma knew this mistake would not be happening on the rest of the trip! When we got to Columbus, we stopped to eat at place called the Claddagh. We sat on the patio right outside where the band was playing. We had a good time. Every time people came out to smoke or talk on their phones, Ernie and I got lovings!! People just love the pug!!!

There was a giant King in front of the park where we parked the car. Momma and Aunt Vikki thought it was pretty funny. Silly mommas!!

This is the same place where the momma got a parking ticket for her expired meter. I told her that fine was NOT coming out my treat money!

Next thing I knew there was a huge bus making all kinds of noise across the street.

I let them know that was not ok!

After dinner we headed to the hotel. Momma and Aunt Vikki got into a fight with Madge (GPS). There was a lot of construction in Columbus and she wanted them to turn on roads that weren't really roads. Aunt Vikki finally broke out her phone and played navigator.

After what felt like a bazillion hours, we finally got to the hotel. My first hotel stay!! I was so excited!!

Pretty sure this was Ernie's first hotel stay as well. He was worried about his momma escaping through the bathroom. He wouldn't leave that spot until she came out!!

I told momma we needed to get to bed so we could get up early and get on the road.

Any time woman!!

The next morning, we were up bright and sort of early. Momma didn't seem to worried about the time, but I was ready!!

Feed me so we can go!!!

Do I have to do it myself?!?!?

Finally momma got the bags packed and me ready to go!

FINALLY!!! LET"S GO!!!!!

Momma says we can't bore everyone with one really ginormous post. So we'll post part two of our great adventure tomorrow!!

Secrets!!!!!!

Momma is planning something and she won't tell me what it is!!

Yesterday she cleaned out the car. Then she moved my seat from the front to the back. (WTH?!?!?)

Then she came in and packed her bag AND mine!!

As if that wasn't enough, I got a BATH!!!! What did I do to deserve this??????

Momma said I will find out soon enough what all the fuss is about. She also promised to take plenty of pictures for me to post when we get back!!

I say it better be something fun since I had to have a bath AND sit in the back seat.

What weekend!!

I got to go on a mini road trip!

I made sure to announce our arrival at the park!!!

Here is where you will just have to take my word for it that I had fun at the park. You see the momma some how managed to "forget" her real camera. Don't ask me how, because I just can't seem to figure it out. She is special sometimes!!

I don't have pics, but I got to take took walks with my cousin and grandma! I got to meet lots of family and everyone loved on me! The momma's Aunt Linda kept trying to get momma to feed me some of the fish they were having, but momma wasn't havin' it. REALLY?!?!? There is fish in my kibble!! How could this be any different???

Luckily, she had Droid (as Puglet calls it) with her. Otherwise, you would have missed the bliss that is my first, and I pray not my last, frozen custard!!!!

It was heavenly!!!!

I got to crash a party and meet a fellow blogger!! Sadly, there are no pictures of Salinger and I together. He wasn't really into having company. The momma told me not to take it personally. As soon as momma talks to Wilma and to see if I can be a Sunflower Girl, Sal and I will be sisters!!!

Momma did get a pic of me taking over one of Sal's pillows and a chewie.

Plus I got lovin's from Sal's parents!! Love Aunt Laura and Uncle Kevin!!

Their friend Rob was very nice too!! He was trying to help get over my issues with men with facial hair!!

So much to do in one day!!! I'll bet you can guess what we did on Sunday huh!!!!

That's right, I held momma down on the couch and made her nap with me!! This puggy was tired!! I'm going to have to get used to this whirlwind lifestyle!! =)

New Stuff!!

So momma and I have been playing with the new blogger interface and adding stuff to my blog. At first we were a little confused, but the more we played the easier it got. Momma said on Lilo's blog she had a list of different puggy rescues down the side of the page. Well as she started adding them to my page, we realized our list had grown and momma has discovered other breed rescues through her blogger family. We quickly discovered that we were going to run out of room for all the rescues we wanted to include.

Enter new blogger interface!!! Momma has added "Pages" to my blog. Right under my header, there are now tabs. There's Home, Pug Rescues and Rescues. We know that we haven't even scratched the surface of the rescues out there. The ones that we have listed are ones we have worked with at Petco, follow on Facebook/Twitter or been introduced to through our Blogger Family. We would love for everyone to check out the Rescue pages and tell us what rescues you want us to add.

I'm going with the momma to her family reunion tomorrow. She keeps something about it being great for my "socialization" I have no idea what she's babbling about. I just want to go see everyone and play in the park!! Maybe someone will drop something when the momma's not looking!! ;)

My BFP 4-Ever!!!

OMP!!! I can hardly believe how lucky I am!! I have a BFP 4-Ever!!! That's right, a Best Friend Pug 4-Ever!! I am so excited about this!! I've never had a BFP before. What's even more exciting is that she was a friend of Lilo's too!!

So last week, the momma walked in from work and told me I had a package. A package?? For me?? No way!!! Momma told me it was from my BFP 4-Ever AnnieBelly!!! Really?? AnnieBee sent me a package?? OMP!! How lucky am I?!?!?

Momma opened the card and read it to me.

Annie is so sweet!!

She knows just how to make a puggy feel special!!

Then I saw it! My new dress!! OMP!! It's so cute!! A great party dress.

Momma and I are going to try and go to Vinny's 1st birthday party and this will be so perfect!!

How do I look??

Don't you just love it!! Momma says we need to work on my modeling skills. Something about having the attention span of a gnat. Whatever that means!

Maddie was SO jealous!! She just doesn't understand that she isn't the super model in the house!!

I can't wait to wear my new dress!! Must have get momma to making plans for us!! I need to be seen!!

Forever Friday - The Story of ME!!!!

Hello Bloggers!! Thank you so much for the wonderful welcome!! Momma told me I would make lots of new friends and have a great big family, but wow!! I couldn't even begin to imagine!! I can't wait to share everything with all of you!!

So my story, at least what we know, isn't very long but here it is:

The weekend before the 4th of July, the nice people at Kentuckiana Pug Rescue got a call on their 800 number from a woman at a campground. She said she had been watching me for about a week, but I didn't seem to belong to anyone. So she asked if someone could meet her on her way home to pick me up. So my Foster Mom's daughter said she would do the pick up and take me to my foster home. Fast forward two weeks and Momma has lost her baby Lilo and is a bit lost herself. She gets a message from KPR saying that they have a two year old female that they think would be perfect for her. Now, momma will admit that she felt a little overwhelmed when she got the message. Lilo had only been gone three days. They told her there was another family looking at me and that they would let her know the status in a day or so.

That Monday, momma made arrangements with my Foster Mom to go meet me. My Foster Mom had named me Cuddle Bunny. Momma and her friends called me CB cause they weren't exactly overjoyed with Cuddle Bunny. One week after the Momma lost Lilo, she pulled into the driveway of my foster home with Aunt Vikki from The Pug Posse to meet me. Momma said she was nervous because she and Lilo had such an instant connection. She wondered if she would be able to really give me chance. My Foster Mom had told her that I was a people pug, but I was a bit leery of strangers. She said once I warmed up, I was quite the "Cuddle Bunny."

So with a heavy heart and a slightly narrow mind, Momma walked in to meet me. Once all the excitement over visitors died down, Momma came to find me in the living room. I had just gotten my spay the day before and was not feeling very princess like!

She found me in the living room trying to see what all the excitement was about. Momma picked me up to get a good look at me and before she could even think, I gave her big ole wet pug kiss!!! Aunt Vikki says she knew as soon as I kissed her that Momma was going to take me, but she had to let Momma figure it out on her own!

We all sat down on the couch and started getting to know each other. Aunt Vikki was right away with the flashes and I was not having it! I made it none to easy for her to get a good picture of me.

We sat and socialized and I proceeded to give Momma a steady supply of kisses. Apparently my unending supply of kisses worked, because Momma made a plan to have Aunt Vikki pick me up on that Friday so I could spend the weekend with Momma and see I how I did with Maddie and kitties. Momma got a few more pictures of me while I rested on my pillow and then kissed me good-bye.

Two days later, Aunt Vikki and Sam came to pick me up to hang with the Posse until Momma got off work.

I was so excited when she walked in!! I jumped right into her arms and started giving her lots of kisses!!! I let her know I was very happy to see her. Momma watched me play with the Posse for a little bit and then we headed to what would be my new home!

I have made myself quite comfortable in my new home. I don't bother the kitties and they don't bother me. Maddie and do pretty well together. We had a rough start as she thought I was going to be just like Lilo. Not so much!! I'm not much for the rough housing and the chewing on each other. I'm also not that into toys at the moment. So when Maddie gets all spazzy over a toy, I get a little irritated. The momma says I need to not be so growly, but I don't agree! I don't think there is anything wrong with being growly once in a while! Sometimes a girl just has to get growly to get what she wants!! ;)

So far I have been to one mini-meetup, one KPR event and I've done Petco duty once. Momma is looking for other ways to get me out and more socialized. I seem to have a problem with men in hats and with facial hair. And if they have both, look out!! Full fledged bark attack!!! Momma say with more socialization, that will hopefully go away. So if any of our Indy Pug Peeps have any ideas, Momma is open to hearing them!!

Momma says I'm special. Not always sure she means that in a good way, but I know she loves me.

She says like her and Lilo, we were meant to be. If the stars hadn't lined up just right, we wouldn't be together. I showed up when she needed me and I needed her!! I can't wait to see what my new life brings!!!

Hope I didn't put anyone to sleep!!! Sometimes a girl just needs to talk!! =) Thank you all for welcoming me into the family!!

FBRN Chip In

The French Bulldog Rescue Network is doing a chip in to raise $30,000 in 30 days. The chip in closes in 9 days and they are not even half way there. I have posted the link to the chip in here and momma posted it on Lilo's blog. Please consider donating and helping out our fellow smushies!!!
